Lawry's hosts 'Christmas Carol'




Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" will be performed Dec. 1 and 8 in four dinner shows at Lawry's the Prime Rib, 4043 Howard Hughes Parkway. The shows are offered in conjunction with Murder Cafe at noon and 5 p.m. each day.

Tickets are $50 for the early show and $65 for the 5 p.m. show, and include Lawry's prime rib dinner. For reservations, call 893-2223.

Audience members will be encouraged to interact with performers, as they settle in for a traditional English-style meal. Lawry's chefs will serve prime rib with Yorkshire pudding and mashed potatoes between scenes.

Local veteran actors with a wide range of credits comprise the cast. Gregory Etchison plays the role of Scrooge; Frank Marquett is Person of Good Will and Ghost of Christmas Past; Michael Hartnett will play the ghosts of Jacob Marley, Christmas Present and Christmas Future; Steve Matthews portrays Bob Cratchit; Miriam Krazny is Mrs. Cratchit; and Adam Zeiter plays nephew Fred. Andee Gibbs narrates the show.

Frank Marquette serves as director and his wife Kristen is the author of the adaption. Additionally, she is responsible for production and costume design.
