Thanksgiving promotions abound at many casinos

It's time to "Get Down on All Four's" again at the Hard Rock Hotel. Through Wednesday, the casino is running its popular scratch-card promotion, where players can win free slot play, dinners and even concert tickets including two to the upcoming Rolling Stones concert at the Joint on Nov. 29. Anyone hitting a four-of-a-kind on any video poker machine or a slot jackpot of $100-plus receives a scratch card. Scratch away the top part of the card for your instant prize and the second part of the card for a letter. Collect six cards that spell "Stones," and you get the Stones concert tickets.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, the Palms is giving its guests half off breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet prices Monday to Wednesday.

Besides all the bonus points being given away this week (see below), many casinos are also celebrating Thanksgiving via some nice bingo promotions. To name just a few: Gold Coast and Suncoast bingo players can collect a set of Harvest Time Pilgrim Teddy Bears at all sessions on Sunday, and get a free Thanksgiving Commemorative Dauber on Thursday. Also on Thanksgiving Day, Sam's Town is giving away a free chocolate turkey at all sessions ($4 minimum buy-in) while Terrible's bingo customers get a pumpkin pie ($6 minimum buy-in). For those of you who have to spend turkey day in the kitchen, then head over to Arizona Charlie's (East or West) on Wednesday. Beginning at the 5 p.m. session (and all the next day) bingo players receive a "Holiday Helpers" kitchen set consisting of an oven mitt, potholder and towel set. Please remember that all of these giveaways stress "while supplies last," so if you really want an item, we suggest that you go to the earliest possible session.

The Terrible's Players Club has simplified their buffet comping process. Members no longer have to go to the booth for a comp, but can just swipe their card at the buffet cashier. A breakfast buffet costs 500 points ($500 coin-in -- less during bonus point periods), lunch runs 700 points, and dinner 1000 points. A comp to the casino's special weekend brunches runs 1,300 points. Bon appétit!
