HONEY TREE CAFE
7121 W. Craig Road; 839-3333
Overall: B
Category: Greek/American
$
The Honey Tree Cafe seems to be just the thing for busy families who want something a little more interesting than the norm, fairly quickly and at a reasonable price. The tabbouleh and saganaki were fantastic, the gyros plate not only huge but good, the moussaka old-fashioned and warming.
LITTLE BUDDHA
The Palms, 4321 W. Flamingo Road; 942-7778
Overall: A
Category: Asian

A Parisian pedigree and an interior with the feel of a high-roller favorite might make it a little surprising that entree prices at Little Buddha are comparatively moderate. And this is good, innovative fare -- such as crispy spun tiger shrimp with coconut-basil sauce, beef-chicken-pork satay, rice-paper salmon, tuna with mustard cream sauce and a liquid-center chocolate cake.
NASCAR CAFE
Sahara, 2535 Las Vegas Blvd. South; 737-2891
Overall: B-

It helps if you like NASCAR, because this cafe serves essentially bar food but there are cars all over the place to delight racing fans. Choose carefully, though, and there are some pretty good things to be had, including bar-food favorites such as the O Rings and the chili con queso, plus the better Points Leader Chicken Pasta and Jarrett BBQ Chicken and Ribs.
