Charo reportedly unhappy with her gig at Sevilla

Lawyers for Trizec-Hahn, operators of Desert Passage at the Aladdin, held a marathon meeting Thursday to resolve a crisis involving Charo and the owners of Sevilla, the struggling Spanish nightclub.

Sources say the issues included back pay to Charo and whether the Denver-based company would continue as owners.

Charo and her show "Bravo" have been the nightspot's headline act since opening in mid-January. But rumors have been circulating that she has been seeking a way out of the contract and looking elsewhere.

Shock and Awe

Monday's "Married by America" on Fox will shock and awe, if the censors allow it.

An insider who witnessed the bachelorette party in the penthouse at the Aladdin says things got out of hand when the two Thunder From Down Under strippers left, leaving only a female stripper.

We'll spare the details, but one of the bachelorettes has since been seeing a lot of a certain stripper.

A Fox spokeswoman did not return a call. Each week the public votes to decide who should be matched up for the wedding finale.

The Scene and Heard

Restaurant rumblings: Steven Spielberg-backed Crustacean, one of the most popular seafood restaurants in Los Angeles, has signed a deal to put up a three-story restaurant and nightclub near the Aladdin this summer. And there's word that Charlie Palmer (Aureole at Mandalay Bay and Charlie Palmer Steak at the Four Seasons) is partnering with Elizabeth Blau to take over food and beverage at the Turnberry luxury condominiums. ...

Danny Gans' mother, Alta Gans, died Thursday in Las Vegas. Showgoers will remember her joining her son on stage during his show at the Rio. She had suffered a stroke shortly after moving here with her husband, Sid, when Danny's career took off in the late 1990s. New York-New York headliner Rita Rudner subbed for Gans after her show Thursday night. ...

Kid Rock will be out at the NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend to check out his famous mug on the dragster driven by Doug Kalitta. The Checkmates' Sweet Louie, Sonny Charles and Braxton Pacatte are performing the national anthem on Saturday. ...

Las Vegans Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme are in Malibu on the first leg of what they are calling their "One More For The Road Tour." The ever-ebullient Eydie is not so chipper these days. "On the first day, I broke my toe" and, she says, the next person who tells her to "break a leg, I will break their face!" Steve is out with his new CD, "Steve Lawrence Sings Sinatra." They were great pals.

Sightings

The Britney Tour continues: She was spotted, with galpals and bodyguards, leading ovations at Celine Dion's "A New Day ..." at Caesars Palace on Wednesday night. Also there: Tracey Ullman, exhorting the crowd to sing along as "Happy Birthday" was played for her son. ... George Clooney and Rande Gerber, owner of Whiskey Bar at Green Valley Ranch, dining at Il Fornaio at Green Valley Ranch on Thursday. ... ABC's "According to Jim" cast at the Paris Las Vegas wedding chapel on Wednesday night, shooting their one-hour season finale. More shooting today at Caesars Palace. ... "The Price is Right," sans Bob Barker, is shooting at the Aladdin today. ... Film director Spike Lee, taking in "La Femme" (MGM Grand) on Wednesday. ... That sighting of Andre Agassi, Steffi and son Jaden was at Andre's French Restaurant downtown, not Alize at the Palms. ... Dennis Quaid and son Jack at The Second City (Flamingo) on Thursday.
