NORM: Slot player no lonesome loser

A local off-Strip property known for its big National Finals Rodeo crowds has a Texas-sized dilemma.

Seems a rodeo fan unfamiliar with how slot machines work thought his machine had jammed when bells and whistles went off on Friday.

Apparently perturbed, he got up and walked away.

Sources say the hotel's surveillance crew has a general idea of what he looks like from videotape and have been trying to find him to let him know he won a $1,600 jackpot. Here's the really tough part: They're looking for a guy in a cowboy hat amid a sea of Stetsons.

Three cast members of the Rio's "Showgirls" topless revue are in Los Angeles today for a photo shoot for Vanity Fair's March Hollywood issue. Dancers Candice Dickerson, Melody Vanderet and Michelle Gaftoi are posed around actor Jack Black, who is shown on a motorcycle jumping through a ring of fire for famed photographer Annie Liebowitz. With the show dark most of this month, three other cast members, Cristina Dobosan, Milania Del Los Santos and Inna Bashta, are in Paris this week to visit former cast members Michele Shaw and Suzanne Brasington, who just joined the new Lido show.

The Punch Line

"I just don't have the energy right now. I just can't do the dance." -- Jack Nicholson, on his waning interest in being a ladies man.
