TOASTMASTERS

The Wind Jammers Toastmasters club meets at 7:30 a.m. Wednesdays at Denny's, 3081 S. Maryland Parkway (396-4884).

The Lion's Roar Toastmasters club meets at 6 p.m. the second and fourth Thursday of the month in the Security Briefing Room at the MGM Grand, 3799 Las Vegas Blvd. South (256-1699).

The I'll Drink to That Toastmasters club meets at 6 p.m. Thursdays at the Stake Out, 4800 S. Maryland Parkway. The 26th anniversary of the club's charter will be this week (362-7502).

HEALTH CLASS

University Medical Center's Senior Celebrations program will offer a class on "Heart Healthy Lifestyles" at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Family Resource Center, 1120 Shadow Lane. Dr. Bill Celentano will discuss simple lifestyle changes that can decrease the risk of heart disease (383-2095).

BUSINESS MEETING

Business Watch Network will have a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Golden Steer, 308 W. Sahara Ave. Clark County District Attorney David Roger will be the guest speaker. For reservations, call 889-1673.

WOMEN'S GROUPS

Wyse Womyn, a social group for mature lesbians, meets at noon Wednesdays at 1140 Almond Tree Lane (369-4380).

Desert Newcomers Club, a social club for women who have lived in the area for less than three years, will have its monthly orientation coffee at 10 a.m. Thursday at Green Valley Library, 2797 Green Valley Parkway, Henderson (456-4885).

DANCE CLUB

Swinging Stars Square Dance Club meets at 7 p.m. Wednesdays at Roger M. Bryan Elementary School, 8255 W. Katie Ave. (364-8344).

ROTARY CLUB

Las Vegas University Rotary Club meets at 7:15 a.m. Thursdays for breakfast at the Las Vegas Country Club, 3000 Joe W. Brown Drive (734-1122).

LIONS CLUB

Las Vegas Breakfasters Lions Club meets at 7:30 a.m. Thursdays at the Las Vegas Golf Club, 4300 W. Washington Ave. (565-6664).

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

The North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce will have its monthly luncheon at noon Thursday at Hampton Inn Tropicana, 4975 S. Industrial Road. Clark County District Attorney David Roger will be the special guest. Networking and check-in begins at 11:15 a.m. (642-9595).

DESERT DOWSERS

The Desert Dowsers meet at 6:30 p.m. the last Thursday of each month at the Riviera Mobile Home Park Community Center, 2036 Palm St. (437-6186).

VETERANS GROUP

The Silver State Camp Sons of Confederate Veterans will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Summerlin Library and Performing Arts Center, 1771 Inner Circle Drive (858-9963).

LECTURE

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas College of Liberal Arts will present a lecture by Jonathan Adelman on "Confronting Iraq: A Global Perspective" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Marjorie Barrick Museum of Natural History on the UNLV campus, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway (895-3401).

KNIGHTS OF PYTHIAS

Clark County Lodge 96 of the Knights of Pythias will have its next meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at 1320 Wyoming St., Boulder City (876-3505 or 242-9190).

SKI CLUB
