PHOTOS: Engineers' Best Friend

Students from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and the Advanced Technologies Academy, a Clark County School District magnet school, cheer on a robotic dog Monday that they designed as part of a competition at the university's Beam Engineering Complex. Nine student teams built the dogs and programmed them to find, grasp and retrieve a small piece of white tubing.
