Rescue efforts by Las Vegans to save a baby burro choked up the host of the syndicated radio-TV talk show "Savage Nation."

Michael Savage got emotional while reading an article about how the Las Vegas horse community came together to assist the injured week-old burro after it was found in February on the roadside near Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

Savage, in town for the National Association of Broadcasters convention, read the account from the Valley Horse News, a local weekly owned by Dan and Jill Bradley. They were among a number of equine lovers who got up every three hours to feed the little guy whose back legs were paralyzed.

Vet clinics pitched in, as did many others. Despite six weeks of round-the-clock efforts, the burro lost its struggle.

Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, a human storm front on "The Apprentice," had sparks flying at McCarran International Airport on Sunday. The New York Post reports Manigault-Stallworth got in the face of an American Airlines agent because her coach ticket wasn't upgraded to first class. "Don't you know who I am? I was on `The Apprentice!' " It didn't help; she remained in coach. It was all in jest, claimed her rep. ...

Las Vegas saxophonist Paul Taylor will make his acting and performance debut in ABC Daytime's "One Life To Live," in the episode airing May 5. Taylor will be cast as a friend of the character RJ and will perform at his club throughout the episode. ...
