Tax deadline nears for deferred filers
The deadline is near for the roughly 75,000 Nevada residents who filed for a four-month automatic extension to file their 2003 tax returns, the Internal Revenue Service reports.
The deadline for extension-filers is Aug. 16.
Electronic filing is available for filers who took the extension. Visit www.irs.gov to buy tax-preparation software, use the free-file program or to get other tax information.

JCM American Corp., a currency handling manufacturer, said the Nevada Gaming Control Board approved its benchmark Thermal Printer Series 200 printer for use in Nevada.
In a statement, JCM said the approval allows the printer to be used in all games by International Game Technology.
