Construction continues Wednesday on the $2.4 billion Wynn Las Vegas hotel-casino project on Las Vegas Boulevard across from the Fashion Show mall. In the forefront is the 150-foot man-made mountain, which will feature a five-story waterfall. Developer Steve Wynn said building the mountain, which will be covered with 50 two-foot layers of mechanically reinforced earthworks, is the most challenging part of the 2,700-room project scheduled to open in April 2005.
