Clark County Health District inspectors rate eating establishments

Bourbon Street bar, 120 E. Flamingo Road, received 27 demerits Oct. 27. Violations included beer bottles stored in cardboard boxes with ice; severely damaged floor in walk-in cooler; no hand sink available; and fruit flies in facility. GRADE: C
Claim Jumper, 601 N. Green Valley Parkway, Henderson, received 20 demerits Oct. 27. Violations included marinara held at improper temperature in steam table, and no hot water at hand sink. GRADE: B
Colimas King Taco, 3830 E. Flamingo Road, received 17 demerits Oct. 26. Violations included food in steam table held at improper temperature, and dirty soda nozzles and can opener blade. GRADE: B
Como's downstairs bar, MonteLago Village, 10 Via Brianza, Henderson, received 23 demerits Oct. 27. Violations included no thermometers in reach-in coolers; cup used as a scoop for nuts; no soap or paper towels at two hand sinks; and expired half-and-half in stock.

Como's restaurant, MonteLago Village, 10 Via Brianza, Henderson, received 40 demerits Oct. 27. Violations included raw food stored next to and on top of ready-to-eat food; employee did not wash hands after handling wallet; crab cakes stored on paper towels; slicer dirty with dried food debris; and wiping cloths stored on hand sink. GRADE: C
Flamingo banquet kitchen, 3555 Las Vegas Blvd. South, received 15 demerits Oct. 25. Violations included access to hand sink blocked, and employee drinks stored uncovered on counter. GRADE: B
Four Mile Bar snack bar, 3650 Boulder Highway, received 17 demerits Oct. 26. Violations included employee beverage stored on prep table, and raw ground beef stored above vegetables. GRADE: B
Fujiyama Sushi Bar, Boardwalk, 3750 Las Vegas Blvd. South, received 19 demerits Oct. 25. Violations included frozen fish stored on sideboard of three-compartment sink, and cooked rice held at improper temperature. GRADE: B
Mama DePalma's Pizza & Bistro, Moose's Beach House Bar & Grill, 4770 S. Maryland Parkway, received 17 demerits Oct. 27. Violations included no paper towels at hand sinks, and cutting board worn and dirty. GRADE: B
Meskerem Ethiopian Restaurant bar, 252 Convention Center Drive, received 20 demerits Oct. 26. Violations included no soap or paper towels at hand sink behind bar, and insects in two bottles of alcohol. GRADE: B

Speedee Mart, 9301 W. Sahara Ave., received 13 demerits Oct. 28. Violations included undated burritos and Hot Pockets stored in display case cooler, and open display cooler holding proper temperature only in back of unit. GRADE: B
Terrible Herbst deli, 6065 W. Sahara Ave., received 16 demerits Oct. 25. Violations included Raid stored under three-compartment sink, and ashtrays with cigarette butts stored on counter and in cabinet. GRADE: B
Vegas Express sushi processing, 5040 Spring Mountain Road, received 12 demerits Oct. 26. Violations included raw fish stored on top of cooked and ready-to-eat food, and clean dishes stored in hand sink. GRADE: B
Vons bakery, 820 S. Rampart Blvd., received 20 demerits Oct. 26. Violations included sanitizer bucket solution stored with knives; dried food debris on mixers; and roach observed in clean cloth storage bin. GRADE: B
