With school back in full swing and temperatures dipping below 100 degrees, experienced shoppers' thoughts turn to craft fairs and bazaars.

That's because they know, as the holidays draw near, that these community fund-raisers offer gifts they might not find anywhere else. Local nonprofit organizations often sponsor bazaars filled with handmade items, usually for all ages.

And even if they don't find just the thing they're looking for, many craft fairs also tempt with baked goods to give shoppers the strength to make the next stop.
