TICKETS: Vegoose festival tickets go on sale Saturday

Tickets for the massive Vegoose music festival at Sam Boyd Stadium go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday through Vegoose.com.

The initial line-up, which is to be supplemented with additional bands in coming weeks, is Dave Matthews and Friends, Jack Johnson, Widespread Panic, Phil Lesh & Friends with special guest Ryan Adams, the Meters, Trey Anastasio, the Flaming Lips, the String Cheese Incident, Primus, Ween, the Shins, moe., Spoon, Gov't Mule, Digable Planets, North Mississippi Allstars, Michael Franti & Spearhead, the Decemberists, Atmosphere, Blackalicious, the Magic Numbers and Lyrics Born.

Two-day passes to the Oct. 29-30 event cost $142.50, plus a $9 to $11 shipping charge.

VIP tickets cost $470.75, plus shipping charges. VIP ticket-holders will have access to better parking, a faster entrance, a special stage-viewing area, buffets, drink discounts and other amenities.

Garbage will rock the Hard Rock Hotel on Sept. 15. Tickets, $31, are available at the venue, 4455 Paradise Road, and through Ticketmaster starting at noon Saturday. To charge by phone, call Ticketmaster at 474-4000. Tickets can also be charged starting Sunday through the box office, 693-5066.

Alt-country singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams will play the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South. St. Louis' Story of the Year will punk up the House of Blues on Sept. 25. The openers will be Funeral for a Friend, Anberlin and He Is Legend. Tickets, $17.50, go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday through Ticketmaster. To charge by phone, call 632-7600.

Flogging Molly will meld traditional Irish music with punk rock at the House of Blues on Sept. 16. Tickets cost $18 and go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. To charge by phone, call 632-7600.

Poet-muscleman-punk singer Henry Rollins will bring his spoken word act to the House of Blues on Nov. 26. Tickets, $20, go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday through Ticketmaster. To charge by phone, call 632-7600.

Pothead rap-metal outfit Kottonmouth Kings will play the House of Blues on Oct. 22. Tickets, $17.50, go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. To charge by phone, call 632-7600.
