Shock waves rippled through the showroom of "Splash," a fixture at the Riviera since 1985, on Saturday.
During a between-shows meeting with cast and crew, a letter from "Splash" owner/producer Meshulam Riklis was read, announcing the show was going on hiatus until early January.

Instead of coming back for the annual Christmas show, the cast and crew of almost 50 were informed that a "re-structuring" was possible and the show could resume Jan. 9 or a week later.
"Everybody's in shock. We know nothing," said a crew member, who asked not to be identified.
The show, which features gauchos, ice skaters and motorcyclists, has undergone several makeovers since 2000, including a departure from it's "aquacade" days.
