Forward Brown chooses Georgia instead of UNLV

REVIEW-JOURNAL

UNLV basketball's search for a big man continued Wednesday after junior college power forward Takais Brown signed a national letter of intent to play for Georgia.

Brown, a 6-foot-8-inch, 245-pound sophomore from Southeastern Illinois College, chose the Bulldogs over the Rebels and Purdue.

Though UNLV lost out on Brown, the Rebels remain in the hunt for Tommy Breaux, the 6-9 sophomore center from Blinn (Texas) College. Breaux visited UNLV last weekend and has not made a final decision.

The Rebels have signed three players for their 2006 recruiting class and have one more scholarship available.
