HELP of Southern Nevada offers a weatherization program to help low-income, elderly or disabled residents conserve energy.
It is funded through the Nevada Housing Division.
The program's professionally trained crews use computerized energy audits and advanced diagnostic equipment to identify energy-saving strategies in single-family, multifamily and mobile homes.
Cost-effective weatherization measures and those that are essential for health and safety are then performed, including but not limited to heating and cooling and installation of insulation and solar screens.
"This program is critical for those in our community who need help and can't financially or physically make the improvements to their home." said Albert Weiss, administrator of the weatherization program.
