Readers to the rescue for soda fan
Canfield's Diet Chocolate Soda certainly has its diehard fans. I remember the panic when Raley's closed its Las Vegas-area stores, and I receive frequent requests from readers trying to find it. But those in the know have come to the rescue of Sunny Rosen.
Jean Brandt said she gets Canfield's at Vons at 4854 W. Lone Mountain Road and Smith's at 4700 W. Ann Road. "I asked them to order it around 1 1/2 years ago and now it's a regular shelf item," she e-mailed.

Ethel Zieve said she gets it at Vons at 820 S. Rampart Blvd., adding, "if it's not on the shelf, they will special-order it."
Arlene Jenkins said she gets it at Vons at 2667 Windmill Parkway in Henderson, Julie Thomas suggested Vons at 7405 S. Durango Drive and Cindy Van Meter said she has bought it at Vons at 3325 E. Russell Road.
And Laurie Brenner said it can be found at Smith's at 10100 W. Tropicana Ave. ...
"To Sharon Hibler, who is looking Zatarain's Crab Cake Mix, she can find it at Albertsons" at 10250 W. Charleston Blvd., e-mailed BJ Roth. "They also have the salmon cake mix, which is excellent."

For Luis Fernandez, who is looking for soy ice cream, Kristine Segura, Susan Lerner, Dave Levesque and Jenkins said it can be found at Trader Joe's, which has multiple locations in the valley, and Carolyn Drollinger, Brandi Frausto and Lerner suggested Sunflower Farmers Market, which is at 3385 E. Tropicana Ave. and 4020 S. Rainbow Blvd.
Lerner also said it can be found at Wild Oats Natural Marketplace, which is at 517 N. Stephanie St. in Henderson and 7250 W. Lake Mead Blvd., and Jean Miller suggested Whole Foods Market, which is at 100 S. Green Valley Parkway in Henderson and 8855 W. Charleston Blvd. ...
For Linda S. Valkenburg, who is looking for Sweet Sue canned chicken and dumplings, Rosalie Demianew said she found it at the Wal-Mart Supercenter at 5200 S. Fort Apache Road. ...
