NORM: Religion mixed into takeover bid

Manly man Mike Tyson reportedly was hot, bothered and stinking mad after leaving OPM on Saturday.

Religious objections are behind the takeover attempt of V Theater, says producer David Saxe.

Some minority investors "appear to have an issue with Stripper 101 because they are Mormons," Saxe said in a telephone conversation from Mexico.

Stripper 101 is the striptease dance studio Saxe introduced two months ago at the theater in the Aladdin's Desert Passage.

Saxe, the managing partner of the theater ownership group, identified Richard Heftel, who operated the troubled C2K nightclub at The Venetian, as the head of the Mormon-led opposition.

Saxe said Heftel and Jocelyne Uy, chief operating officer of the Variety Theater Group, "will be put in their place."

The group voted Saxe out Thursday, Uy said.

The takeover attempt came as Saxe, the majority shareholder, was en route to Mexico.

Saxe, who provided many of the acts for NBC's summer hit "America's Got Talent," returned Sunday and met with his attorney, Ross Goodman.

After the meeting, Saxe said, "It's like going on vacation and coming home and finding your gardener sitting in your house, saying he owns it. It just doesn't work that way."

THE SCENE AND HEARD

The Jenna Jameson-Tito Ortiz romance, first revealed here earlier this month, continues to sizzle. The porn queen and the ultimate fighter showed up at Tao (The Venetian) at midnight Friday and left arm in arm about 2 a.m. after some dancing. They had the fight crowd buzzing Saturday when they settled into their ringside seats before the Chuck Liddell-Babalu Sobral battle at Mandalay Bay. Teased about making the gossip pages, Ortiz, the former UFC light heavyweight champ, told my Eye Spy: "I'm going to have a lot more gossip pretty soon."...

More on Mike Tyson's bizarre go-go dancing marathon at OPM (Forum Shops at Caesars), that ended at dawn Saturday. Tyson "borrowed" about two dozen bar towels to hand out as souvenirs. He'd towel off the sweat and toss the keepsakes into the crowd of female spectators. After leaving the club, my spies say, Tyson became enraged and threatened to pulverize three guys before security intervened. Then he grabbed a female tourist who was snapping some photos, and the slurring ex-champ invoked his four favorite words, which began with "Show me your ...."
