Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock may be close enough to glare at each other on New Year's Eve, when they host countdown parties on the Strip.
Anderson is expected to host Tao's party at The Venetian, across the street from where Rock is hosting Jet Nightclub's party at The Mirage.

That's not all: Spies tell me Nicole Richie is in talks to host the New Year's Eve blast at Tangerine (Treasure Island). It was announced last week that Britney Spears is hosting the New Year's party at Pure (Caesars Palace).
With his marriage to Anderson disintegrating, Rock was back in Las Vegas on Friday, making a statement that he's moving on.
Wearing a black T-shirt with the words "Bro's Before Ho's" across the front, the bad-boy rocker reveled in his newly single status.
After partying with his pals Uncle Kracker, Kenny Chesney, Shooter Jennings, George Maloof and Jason Giambi at the Hard Rock Hotel, the singer-songwriter was spotted walking through the crowd at Jet with a woman on his shoulders. About 3:30 a.m., he was seen entering the Palms with a blonde.
Earlier, he joined Uncle Kracker onstage at The Joint (Hard Rock Hotel) for a duet of "Drift Away." The party raged in The Joint's green room before moving to Jet.
Wed in St. Tropez, France, on July 29, Anderson and Rock announced last week their marriage has unraveled.
HORN HOME
Roy Horn is back in Las Vegas after a health setback while in Hawaii.
Bernie Yuman, Siegfried & Roy's manager, confirmed that Horn had a touch of the flu after flights from Germany to Las Vegas and on to Hawaii.
"It was a total nonevent. He's doing great now, feeling fantastic," said Yuman, who said he had dinner with the illusionists on Friday night.
THE SCENE AND HEARD
And you thought Paris Hilton had no taste? The professional party girl has backed out of her presenter role at the Billboard Music Awards here on Monday because she objected to the jokes written for her. "It is my understanding that some satirical references ridiculed some of her peers," publicist Elliot Mintz said in a statement on Saturday. Earlier, Britney Spears bailed as a presenter. The event's big mystery: Who's hosting the show? As of Saturday evening, a master schedule backstage still had "TBD" (to be determined) listed, an Eye Spy told me.
