Logandale brothers Jason and Randon Adams were in a funk the first three nights of the National Finals Rodeo, but they made up for the earlier disappointment Sunday when they placed first in the team roping go-round with a time of 4.2 seconds, winning $16,021 apiece.

They nipped veterans Speed Williams of De Leon, Texas, and Clay O'Brien Cooper of Morgan Mill, Texas, who were one-tenth slower.
"It's a rush," Randon, 24, said of earning his first go-round gold belt buckle in his second NFR.
"Just to do it with your brother is such an accomplishment. With our mom, dad, uncles, aunts and everybody here watching ... it's probably the greatest feeling I ever had."
Jason, the 22-year-old header, said he switched to a horse called Name at the urging of his father, Wesley Adams.
"Since the first night I've been expecting to have a little bit of nerves and feel pressure from it being my hometown, but I'm just having fun," Jason said.
Matt Shiozawa, a Las Vegas resident who trained with the Adamses while attending Moapa Valley High School, tied for fourth in calf roping to get $5,426. His NFR earnings total of $19,122.
ALL-AROUND -- Trevor Brazile of Decatur, Texas, tied for fourth in calf roping to earn $5,426 and joined with Rich Skelton of Llano, Texas, to place fourth in team roping to pick up another $6,718. That helps him expand his lead over Joe Beaver of Huntsville, Texas, who was out of the money in team roping and calf roping in the go-rounds.
Brazile's season total is $299,947 to Beaver's $183,308.
BAREBACK RIDING -- Reigning world champion and current money leader Will Lowe of Canyon, Texas, won for the second straight night to push his lead over Andy Martinez of Pavillion, Wyo., to a nearly insurmountable $65,000. He scored 84.5 on Sankey Rodeo Co.'s Parlor Game.
Lowe just edged Chris Harris of Itasca, Texas, who scored 83.5
STEER WRESTLING -- Stockton Graves of Newkirk, Okla., turfed his steer in 3.3 seconds to beat Joey Bell of Malakoff, Texas, to win the go-round.
Dean Gorsuch of Gering, Texas, placed third and moved around Luke Branquinho of Los Alamos, Calif., in the world standings.
TEAM ROPING -- Williams moved into the lead among headers in the world standings while Cooper jumped up one spot to third.
SADDLE BRONC RIDING -- Chad Ferley of Oelrichs, S.D., had the best ride of the night with an 86 on Flying U Rodeo's Sam's Town, but he'll have to wait until tonight to see if he wins the round.
Canadian Glen O'Neill was awarded a re-ride along with three others but there weren't enough extra horses available.
CALF ROPING -- Cody Ohl of Hico, Texas, split first with two ropers to win or share first place for the second time this year. His time of 7.4 was matched by Cade Swor of Winnie, Texas, and Jerome Schneeberger of Ponca City, Texas.
Beaver broke the barrier to inflate his score to 19.3 that was last in the competition after he finished third or better in the previous go-rounds.
BARREL RACING -- Brandie Halls of Carpenter, Wyo., won the round with a time of 13.77 seconds to get her third straight check. She moved into the lead in the NFR aggregate standings and is sixth in world standings.
It is her first NFR round win.
BULL RIDING -- Wesley Silcox of Payson, Utah, scored 90.5 on Growney Brothers' Golden Ghost to be one of only two riders to ride to the eight-second buzzer.
J.C. Bean of Goldendale, Wash., was the other to get a check when he scored 85.5 on Diamond G Rodeos' Whirly Gig.
D.J. Domangue dislocated his left hip, which ended his NFR.
