Who says Old Vegas is dead? A query from Glen and Linda Stewart for reader suggestions for steak-and-egg breakfasts brought a strong response.
"For good steak and eggs, try The Bootlegger (7700 Las Vegas Blvd. South) for breakfast," e-mailed Mary Anne Taglia. "The bistecca and eggs are served with home fries and Italian toast."

Barry Hauptman e-mailed to say he loves the steak and eggs at Arizona Charlie's at 740 S. Decatur Blvd.; there's another Arizona Charlie's at 4575 Boulder Highway.
"The best steak-and-egg breakfast can be found at The Vegas Diner at 6840 W. Sahara Ave.," e-mailed Janet Berger.
"The Village Pubs have a New York steak, two eggs, toast, potatoes for $3.99," e-mailed Michele Bonelli. "Wonderful, very good food."
Mike Chavez of Village Pubs e-mailed to say the $3.99 steak special is available at all locations from 11 p.m. to 11 a.m. weekdays and 11 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. "It is posted on our daily specials board at all locations and not on our menu," Chavez said. ...
