Las Vegas anesthesiologist and in-line skater Dr. Andy Zak, 44, trains Friday at Brian Briare Park, near Tenaya Way and Summerlin Parkway. A member of the Adams Inline Skating Team in Minneapolis, Minn., Zak skated for 20 miles at the new park this particular morning. He was a 5,000- and 10,000-meter competitor on the U.S. National Speed Skating team from 1978-88 before trading in his ice skates for in-line blades. Photos by Clint Karlsen.
