A pedestrian hit and killed by a car in Henderson on Thursday was identified as Wallace Ward.

The 73-year-old Henderson man was hit about 4:30 p.m. as he crossed Paseo Verde Parkway near Pecos Road, Henderson police said.

He died at the scene. Police did not release the name of 21-year-old woman driving the Volkswagen sedan that hit Ward.

The investigation was ongoing.
