Saturday and July 29, the Silverton will draw for 10 prizes totaling $5,500 and a 2006 Hummer H3 (or $20,000). Discovery Club members receive one ticket for every 50 points earned this month ($50 coin-in). Tickets also can be earned at the tables and live keno. The drawings take place at 4 p.m. and winners have until 8:30 p.m. to claim their prize.

Fitzgeralds and the Suncoast have opened poker rooms. The Fitzgeralds (nonsmoking) room, located on the second floor, runs a Texas hold 'em No-Limit Tournament every day at noon with a $5 entry fee and $25 buy-in. Players logging 60 hours before Aug. 31 qualify for a $20,000 FreeRoll Tournament on Sept. 10. They also are the only downtown poker room offering a "Bad Beat" jackpot. The Suncoast poker room has a complete player tracking system that awards comp dollars based on time played as well as a "bonus hand" promotion that awards cash when making a four-of-a-kind or better. The room is nonsmoking with 12 tables and several plasma TVs.

The Venetian poker room is offering double comp points through August as well as special suite rates with just six hours of rated play (based on availability). You must be a Venetian Players Club member to take advantage of either promotion.

Earn 700 American Can Club points ($700 coin-in, no point redemption required) at the Cannery today or July 28 and receive a $10 gasoline card (limit one per player per day).

Two bingo giveaways are coming up this week. On Sunday, the Fiesta Henderson will give away a steering wheel cover at all sessions (while supplies last). And Wednesday at 3 p.m., Jerry's Nugget will pass out a "Celebrate the USA" flowerpot candle.
