Police said Sunday afternoon that they fear time may be running out for 2-year-old Everlyse Cabrera.
The child has been missing since early Saturday morning from her foster home in the 6500 block of Diamond Point Court, near Centennial Parkway and Clayton Street in North Las Vegas.

"We're terrified ... baffled. We don't understand why or how this happened," said Marlena Olivas, Everlyse's biological mother, who drove all night from El Monte, Calif., with the girl's father, Ernest Cabrera, to help with the search and plead for the public's help.
"I want to beg everyone out there (who may know something) please call ... we need to find our little girl," said Olivas, tears streaming down her face and her voice quavering.
Everlyse and her 11-month-old brother had been living with the foster family for the past two months since Olivas, who is eight-months pregnant, and Cabrera went to California to "straighten out their lives," police spokesman Tim Bedwell said.
North Las Vegas police Capt. Tony Scott said that the 2-year-old woke up sometime after 1 a.m. Saturday, used a stool to climb up and unlock a deadbolt on the front door and wandered off.
When she was put to bed, Everlyse was wearing a pink T-shirt, pink shorts and no shoes
The foster mother discovered the dark-haired, brown-eyed toddler was missing about 8 a.m. The foster parents contacted police about noon Saturday.
Bedwell would not say why the foster parents, whom police did not identify, waited four hours to report the child missing. He said the foster parents have been interviewed by police.
They had not been foster parents before taking in Everlyse and her brother, authorities said.
Bedwell said the foster parents and biological parents have been scrutinized by investigators. "But no one is a suspect," he said.
Police had no indication Sunday that a crime had been committed, he said.
They said the situation is desperate because of the high temperatures the past few days.
"If she's in the elements ... there's not a lot of time," Bedwell said.
The foster family's neighborhood is surrounded by desert and construction areas.
Police searched the area with people on the ground and in helicopters over the weekend. Officers also talked to neighbors, questioned registered sex offenders in the area and contacted social service programs but turned up no leads, Bedwell said.
Thirty police officers and about 150 volunteers, including Mindy Morgan, a mother of three boys, searched for Everlyse on Saturday.
"It just breaks your heart. You just feel so helpless," the 27-year-old said as she held her youngest son -- a 4-month-old -- in her arms.
Morgan, who lives on Diamond Point Court, said the foster parents have always been friendly. "They always say, 'Hi.' They are really nice people."
Morgan said she thinks that someone saw Everlyse and picked her up.
"How far could she have gotten on foot?" Morgan said.
Police have identified the search area as about 12 square miles, from Simmons Street to Revere Street to Tropical Parkway to the Las Vegas Beltway.
Authorities are asking everyone who lives in that area to search their garages, sheds, crawl spaces and every other place the girl could have gotten into.
"Please take a few minutes of your day and see if the child is there," Bedwell said.
"We are just all praying she could be found," Morgan said.
