A 22-year-old woman was arrested on two counts of felony child endangerment after she left her two children, a 7-year-old and a 2-month-old, in a car about 1 p.m. Tuesday while she went into a local welfare office, Las Vegas police said.
Sylvia Rede remained jailed Wednesday afternooon at the Clark County Detention Center in lieu of $6,000 bail, authorities said.

Her two children were exhibiting signs of overheating including elevated body temperatures and chills, police spokesman Chris Jones said.
They were taken to a local hospital, treated and released into the care of Child Protective Services, Jones said.
It is unclear how long Rede left the children in the vehicle, Jones said, but added any amount of time is too long to leave a child in a hot vehicle when the temperature is in the 90s or 100s.
It was 100 degrees at 1 p.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The Metropolitan Police Department has already recorded 23 incidents where children have been left unattended in cars this year.
