PLAYER'S EDGE: 'Ultimate Action Cash' gets new look at Charlie's

Arizona Charlie's has upgraded its popular "Ultimate Action Cash Super Rewards" program. Ultimate Reward members accumulating between 1,000 and 80,000 points Mondays (3 a.m.) through Sundays (11:59 p.m.) will receive $25-$1,000 guaranteed cashback (in five daily equal installments) the following week. Although it is possible (by earning points at Arizona Charlie's Decatur and Arizona Charlie's Boulder) to earn $2,000 a week (with no point redemption required), please be aware that the countdowns required to earn Ultimate Reward points vary greatly from machine to machine. It takes a lot more dollars to earn points on some video poker games than on slot games. Also, to retrieve all your cashback requires that you visit the properties (wherever you earned your points) once per day Monday through Friday. Many players rave about this promotion, but please review the rules (available at the booth) before you begin play.

Tonight and June 30, Casino MonteLago will give away a 50-inch HDTV, plus DVD players, iPods, cash and free play prizes. Players can earn tickets for every 25 Club Uno base points ($25 slots, $50 video poker -- no point redemption required) or for every $5 blackjack. Players must be present at the 7 p.m. drawings. Also, on Monday and Wednesday, video poker players hitting four sevens receive up to $50 in free slot play. Maximum coins must be played, and only one hand will be paid the bonus on multi-hand machines.

Earn 500 American Can Club points ($500 coin-in, no point redemption required) at the Cannery on Monday or Wednesday and receive an eight-piece "gardening buddy." Players earning 1,500 points on Friday receive a Ralph Lauren tote bag.

In honor of its 30th anniversary, Station Casinos is running a Daily Jumbo Jackpot at its seven major casinos as well as both Fiesta properties. Guaranteed to hit at least once each day, the Jumbo Jackpot begins at $15,000 and will be hit before it reaches $25,000. You must be playing with either your Boarding Pass (Station Casinos) or Amigo Club (Fiestas) card to be eligible for the jackpot -- and to win $25 in free slot play when someone else does hit it.
