A nine-camera PBS crew is shooting the Clint Holmes show at Harrah's tonight and Thursday night.

The special will air this summer, Holmes said.

He was approached after Gustavo Sagastume, PBS vice president of programming, attended Holmes' show last fall and met the entertainer backstage.

Sagastume took an interest in the "personal family history," Holmes said. The background: Holmes was born to a white British opera singer and an African-American U.S. serviceman serving in England.

Now 90, his mother, Audrey, still shows up at his shows and wows the crowds with "Summertime."

In addition to the special, a live album and studio album will be recorded. Holmes, who is reportedly leaving Harrah's this fall when his contract expires, is being honored Saturday at the MGM Grand as the "Humanitarian of Choice," an international charity.

Also performing and accompanying Holmes will be pianist Roger Williams.

PAM'S NEW BEAU

Panorama Towers owner Laurence Hallier has been linked with Pamela Anderson in London's Fleet Street gossip pages.

The Sunday Mirror identified him as Anderson's "new bloke," after she was spotted planting a kiss on him "during a wild night out at London's swish Kabaret Club."

Anderson, who recently split with F1 driver Eddie Irvine, and Hallier have reportedly been spending quality time together. She has purchased a penthouse in one of the four Panorama towers Hallier is building on Dean Martin Drive, formerly Industrial Road.

"I'm not going to comment. We're good friends," Hallier said by telephone on Tuesday.

I'm told Hallier, who made a fortune when he sold his Taxi Tops company to Clear Channel, met Anderson through Rick Solomon, best known for collaborating on a certain best-selling video with Paris Hilton.
