NORM: Flowers blossoms in randy revue

Bonnie Raitt an angel to ailing Ruth Brown.

Dana Carvey set for fundraising gala.

Gennifer Flowers is a Fitzgeralds regular.

Mr. Don Rickles, the King of Insults, will do the walk at Caesars.

Gennifer Flowers made her return to the Las Vegas entertainment scene Thursday with a couple of naughty political references but no mention of former beau Bill Clinton.

She has a six-month deal as a special-guest regular on "Bottoms Up," the 7 p.m. show at Fitzgeralds.

Flowers has been running her own club in New Orleans for several years but missed Las Vegas, even though she received a famous cold shoulder on one occasion: She was invited to perform for a charity event, but the invitation was rescinded when it was learned she was that Gennifer Flowers.

I can't repeat her two jokes or go into details on the song she sang Thursday in the long-running randy revue.

But she told me she doesn't miss the humidity in New Orleans, "when my hair fell flatter than a training bra."

The show runs Thursdays through Mondays.

A NIGHT OF BONDING

A private screening of "Casino Royale," the new James Bond film, and a performance by Dana Carvey will highlight the Nevada Cancer Institute's fifth fundraising gala.

"Bond for the Cure" is set for Thursday at the MGM Grand Garden, with CNN's Larry King emceeing.

James Caan and George Hamilton are among the special guests. Star chefs Tom Colicchio, Michael Mina, Wolfgang Puck and Joel Robuchon will provide the menu.

THE SCENE AND HEARD

Comedy icon Don Rickles will be the first honoree on the celebrity walk at Caesars Palace. A bronze plaque in the shape of a laurel wreath will include Rickles' name when Whoopie Goldberg makes the presentation at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. Plaques will be installed along sidewalks and gardens in front of Caesars, which is marking its 40th anniversary this year. ...

Send some extra love in Bonnie Raitt's direction tonight, when she opens for the Rolling Stones at the MGM Grand. Raitt has been an angel to R&B legend Ruth Brown, who went on life support this week in a Henderson hospital. In January, Brown told me that when she suffered a stroke six or seven years ago, Raitt "called and said, 'If there's anything, mortgage, anything, don't worry nuthin.' She took care of my mortgage. She still calls me every second week. She lost her mother and father last year. She's been a good, good friend."

THE PUNCH LINE

"I'm so glad the election is done. Now the only annoying political speech you'll hear is at a Barbra Streisand concert." -- Jay Leno
