Boulder City lawyer agrees to give up ability to practice

REVIEW-JOURNAL CAPITAL BUREAU

CARSON CITY -- Boulder City attorney Hamilton Moore has voluntarily consented to disbarment, acknowledging he has misappropriated over $300,000 in client and third-party lienholder funds, the Supreme Court said Monday.

Earlier in the year, the Supreme Court ordered the temporary suspension of Moore because of concerns he misappropriated client funds. The court at that time ordered his suspension from the practice of law until formal disciplinary proceedings could be resolved.

Instead, Moore said in an affidavit he could not successfully defend against a disciplinary complaint and agreed to disbarment.
