Trunk It Up:

Just as the holidays are about to hit full force next week, a number of companies are showcasing their latest lines at Neiman Marcus at Fashion Show mall. Chanel and Sisley Paris are unveiling their fall colors during events at the store today. Jewelry designer Donald Huber makes a personal appearance and shows his collection today as well, and Ippolita holds a jewelry trunk show. See the latest collection from Marc by Marc Jacobs in Contemporary Sportwear and Tadashi in Galleria Collections. On Saturday, Cle de Peau and Guerlain show their new fall colors during separate events, and the latest collection from Judith Ripka will be on display. On Monday, Nov. 20, the latest Chantecaille cosmetics will be featured.

Shoe-In: The Donald J Pliner boutique inside the Forum Shops at Caesars will hold its winter sale starting on Saturday with up to 33 percent off selected shoes and accessories from the 2006 fall line. The collection contains a rich array of colors such as olive, charcoal, bronze and camel in rich metallic tapestry and animal prints.

Faux Rocks: If animal-cruelty-free and eco-friendly clothing are your thing, spend some time with the students of the International Academy of Design & Technology on Saturday as they showcase their work during Faux Rocks at the Green Valley Ranch Resort in Henderson. Several national and regional eco-friendly/cruelty-free designers will also be on hand, including Ahneemähl, a New York-based designer of contemporary footwear to fashion savvy consumers with concern for animal welfare; Mystery School Clothing Co., which makes conscious clothing handmade from organic cotton and hemp-blend fabrics; Sameunderneath, an organic clothing line based in Portland, Ore.; and Altered Statement, a family of independent artists from around the United States that specializes in hand-dyed hemp products. Faux Rocks is endorsed by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Las Vegas Valley Humane Society, the Nevada SPCA No-Kill Shelter and Noah's Animal House at The Shade Tree. The night starts with a mixer with cash bar from 6 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a fashion show. Tickets, available at www.fauxrocksfashionshow.com

Fur for Thought: Give your furs back to the animals now through Earth Day. Bring your real fur apparel, including fur trims, fur accessories (such as hats, gloves and muffs) and shearling to Buffalo Exchange (4110 S. Maryland Parkway, 791-3960) and indicate that it's a donation for The Humane Society of the United States. The furs are used as bedding to provide comfort for orphaned and injured wildlife. To claim a tax deduction, please mail your fur directly to The Human Society of the United States, Attn: Coats for Cubs, 2100 L St. N.W., Washington, DC 20037.
