NORM: Looking for a few good Elvis tributes

The guardians of Elvis Presley's image and his Graceland estate are looking for the king of Elvis impersonators.

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Elvis' death next August, Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc. is holding the first "Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest."

According to The Associated Press, a series of EPE-licensed qualifying contests will be staged around the country. Look for a Las Vegas stop during the process.

The finals will be held over several days during Graceland's annual Elvis "Tribute Week," scheduled for Aug. 11-19.

There's concern among the world of Elvis impersonators that this is the first step toward the rumored regulation of Elvis wannabes by EPE, which likely looks at it as a case of taking care of business.
