Las Vegas quarterback O'Ryan Bradley read the comments by Canyon Springs coach Matt Jenkins on Friday morning and went into that night's Sunrise Regional semifinal football game eager to prove him wrong.
Bradley did that and more, throwing for six touchdowns to lead his Wildcats past the Pioneers 55-21 at Las Vegas High School on Friday night.

"The Bradley kid does a good job, he's a good player," Jenkins said in Friday's edition of the Review-Journal. "But I take my kid every day of the week. If I had to choose between the two of them, I'd take Devonte Christopher. Our kid's a hell of a football player. If he's not the best football player, he's one of the top three or four."
Bradley threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Daniel Durnian to cap the game's opening drive and continued throwing throughout the game, finishing with 347 yards on 21-for-29 passing. His numbers included a 10-for-10 for 125 yards and three scores after halftime.
"Of course he's going to say that he'd take his quarterback," Bradley said after the game. "But when he said that (Christopher) was the best player in the state, I totally disagreed with that and it really motivated me."
Christopher was 11-for-26 for 160 yards and a touchdown but threw three interceptions.
"(Jenkins) took his guy, and we like ours," Las Vegas coach Chris Faircloth said.
After Bradley's opening-drive touchdown pass, the Wildcats forced a fumble that Jovan Massey returned 61 yards to stake Las Vegas (10-2) to a 14-0 lead.
"We knew if we got them early, we would have a chance to hold on the way our defense has been playing," Faircloth said.
Las Vegas extended its lead from there.
Colin Pretlow returned a Christopher interception 34 yards for a score on the opening drive of the second quarter, and Bradley added touchdown passes of 10 yards to Zach Hocker and 65 yards to Jason Theard to open a 34-0 advantage at halftime.
Canyon Springs (8-4) gained a glimmer of hope on an 83-yard touchdown run by DeCasio Collins to open the scoring in the third quarter, but Bradley answered with a 25-yard touchdown pass to D'Angelo Saulsberry.
Chris Kelly caught touchdown passes of 28 and 25 yards in the fourth quarter for Las Vegas.
Christopher's touchdown pass was a 52-yard fourth- quarter strike to Juron Criner. Michael Elliott returned a kickoff 79 yards in the third quarter for the Pioneers.
Las Vegas will host Del Sol at 1 p.m. next Saturday for the Sunrise Regional title and a berth in the state championship game.
