All the pieces of the post-Celine Dion era at Caesars Palace are falling into place: Cher's deal is done, and Bette is set.
Cher will move into the 4,000-seat Colosseum in the spring of 2008, and Bette Midler will follow in the fall, I hear.

Dion ends her 41/2-year run, an unequaled local success, in December 2007. Depending on which reports you believe, she either plans to launch a two-year world tour or will try to have a second child through in vitro fertilization.
It was announced Wednesday that she has canceled her next five performances of "A New Day" and an appearance as a presenter Monday at the Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand.
She is being treated for mycoplasma bronchitis, a contagious respiratory bacterial infection.
She returns Dec. 28, after a holiday break.

Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf are selling their San Francisco Bay area mansion for $20 million, five years after paying $23 million. The 11-bedroom, 13,000-square-foot estate is being purchased hedge fund chief Stuart Peterson, who made a fortune by investing early in YouTube, the video-sharing Web site.
Flo Rogers' interview with Gilles Ste. Croix, creative vice president of Cirque du Soleil, airs today on KNPR-FM 88.9, at 10 a.m. and again at 8 p.m. Ste. Croix talks extensively about how George Harrison's interest led to "Love,'' the Cirque-Beatles show that opened in June at The Mirage. Ste. Croix met with the ailing former Beatle and his son, Dhani, in the garden at Harrison's London home. Harrison died five years ago this week. ...
Terry Jenkins, longtime Stardust entertainment director, came away from the Stardust auction with a chunk of history. He won the bidding for the chandelier from West Tower Suite 105, where he put up many of the entertainers who subbed for Wayne Newton when he was on hiatus. The list includes Don Rickles, Tim Conway, Debbie Reynolds, Ann-Margret and BB King. "I'd always admired it," Jenkins, the corporate director of entertainment for Boyd Gaming Corp., said of the chandelier.
Fox Sports Network's "Best Damn Sports Show Period" will audition for a Las Vegas insider reporter Sunday at the Hurricane Bar and Grill, 10420 S. Bermuda Road. The winner will host two Las Vegas insider segments featuring the Super Bowl and NBA All-Star Game. Must be 21 to enter. ...
