GIBBONS SCANDAL: Accuser alleges cover-up attempt
The Las Vegas woman who has accused Republican gubernatorial candidate Jim Gibbons of assaulting her said Wednesday that she dropped charges against him the next day because people connected to his campaign had threatened her, pressured her and tried to buy her silence.

New charges added to case
Land developer Donald Davidson, already awaiting trial on charges of bribing former Clark County Commissioner Erin Kenny, faces additional charges on allegations that he attempted to bribe a Las Vegas city councilman for a zone change sought in spring 2002.
