• 1954 -- Tony Cornero organizes the Stardust Co.

• 1955 -- Cornero dies. Stardust operation taken over by John Factor and his wife.

• 1955 -- Royal Nevada opens and closes, eventually to be absorbed by the Stardust.

• 1958 -- Stardust opens. It is leased and operated by a company headed by Morris "Moe" Dalitz.

• 1958 -- The "Lido de Paris" show opens.

• 1959 -- Old Royal Nevada buildings are converted to Stardust guest rooms and the Stardust Convention Center.

• 1960 -- Aku Aku Polynesian restaurant opens.

• 1962 -- Ed Sullivan show broadcasts from the Stardust.

• 1964 -- Stardust opens nine-story tower.

• 1965 -- Stardust International Raceway opens.

• 1966 -- Howard Hughes tries unsuccessfully to buy the Stardust.

• 1967 -- Horseman's Park opens on the Stardust site.

• 1967 -- Moby Dick steak and seafood restaurant opens.

• 1968 -- Stardust installs world's tallest electric sign.

• 1969 -- Parvin-Dohrman Corp. buys the Stardust.

• 1972 -- Stardust RV Park opens.

• 1974 -- Argent Corp. buys the Stardust.

• 1975 -- Stardust Race & Sports Book opens.

• 1975 -- Ronald Reagan visits Stardust.

• 1977 -- Frank Rosenthal television show broadcasts from the Stardust.

• 1978 -- Siegfried & Roy join "Lido de Paris."

• 1979 -- Trans-Sterling Corp. buys the Stardust.

• 1980 -- Aku Aku closes.

• 1982 -- Tony Roma's opens.

• 1983 -- The Boyd Group assumes management of Stardust at request of Nevada Gaming Control Board.

• 1985 -- Boyd Gaming Corp. buys the Stardust.

• 1986 -- International Gaming Technology introduces new Megabucks slot system at Stardust.

• 1987 -- William B's restaurant opens.

• 1987 -- Olde Tyme Gambling Museum opens at Stardust.

• 1988 -- Boyd Gaming completes $50 million expansion and renovation.

• 1991 -- Tres Lobos Mexican restaurant opens.

• 1991 -- "Lido de Paris" closes after 22,000 performances seen by more than 19 million people.

• 1991 -- Stardust opens 32-story tower.

• 1999 -- "Enter The Night" closes.

• 2000 -- Sushi King restaurant opens.

• 2000 -- Wayne Newton opens extended engagement.

• 2004 -- "Havana Night Club" opens.

• 2005 -- Wayne Newton's final appearance at Stardust.

• 2006 -- "Havana Night Club" final appearance.
