TASTE OF THE TOWN: Readers in the know on where to find cookies

When it comes to finding Stella D'oro Anisette Toast cookies, the secret seems to be not who you know but where you go.

Mike Vignerini can find the cookies at certain Albertsons stores, e-mailed Beth More, adding that she has found them at the stores at 5881 E. Charleston Blvd. and 190 N. Boulder Highway in Henderson.

Leslie A. Hatlied e-mailed that she has found them at several Vons stores in the southwest part of the valley but usually buys it at the store at 7405 S. Durango Drive.

Hatlied added, "I recently found a similar product called Nonni's Biscotti," which has "the same amazing taste of Stella D'oro" and can be found at most Albertsons and Target stores. ...

For Elayne Teitelbaum, who is looking for pure miso paste, Kristine Segura e-mailed that it can be found in the aisle near the cooking oil at 99 Ranch Market, 4155 Spring Mountain Road. "It is sold in square tubs and they are very potent, but good," she said.
