The Stardust sign, a calling card for what used to be one of the Strip's largest casinos, loses another letter on Thursday. It opened in 1959 and closed Nov. 1. The Boyd Gaming Corp. resort will be demolished later this year to make room for the $4 billion Echelon Place mixed-use project.
