The Madrigal Singers from Las Vegas High School will perform at the Las Vegas Master Singers "Musicals, Madrigals and Mmmm ..." at 5 p.m. Saturday at Christ Episcopal Church, 2100 S. Maryland Parkway.
The event, to benefit Las Vegas High School's music department, will also feature the Las Vegas Master Singers Chamber Chorale performing selections from Broadway, and a lasagna dinner.

Fifth-graders from Booker Elementary School, Wendell Williams Elementary School, Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy and 100 Academy of Excellence will participate in the "Jeopardy Bowl" at 6 p.m. Friday at West Las Vegas Library, 951 W. Lake Mead Blvd. The competition will test the students' knowledge of black history. The event is free and open to the public.
Three young men from the Las Vegas Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America have recently become Eagle Scouts:
Richard Leatham, 15, is the son of Melanie and Nile Leatham. He is a member of Troop No. 248.
Mark Piacitelli II, 15, and Ryan Piacitelli, 13, are the sons of Mark Piacitelli. Mark and Ryan are both members of Troop No. 25.
Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive, is offering two Culture Kids Workshops for ages 3-9. The Culture Kids Broadway workshop, which includes sessions in dancing, singing and acting, will be Sunday . The registration deadline is Thursday, and the fee is $8. The Culture Kids Rhythm and Blues workshop will be March 25, and includes an instrument petting zoo, a dance and movement class, and crafting a drum. Those age 15 1/2 and up who are interested in working as lifeguards, cashiers and pool management staff during the 2007 summer season are needed for Clark County Parks and Recreation's Aquatics program. The youth will be needed from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend at the county's 12 pools in the Las Vegas Valley, and facilities at Indian Springs, Laughlin, Logandale and Overton. The lifeguard training fee will be $25 for youth who sign a three-month employment contract with Clark County. The regular fee is $125. For ages 16 and up, who have already completed lifeguard training, water safety instructor classes will be available. Training classes will be available in March, April and May.
