Michael Jackson has delayed the release of his new album in May to possibly this fall, a move that suggests he might be launching his Las Vegas show at that time.

The Web site michael jacksoninsider.com, reported Thursday that the album's May 1 release date was being moved and hinted it would come this fall.

Jackson moved to Las Vegas at Christmas to revive his career. He has been spotted at Wynn Las Vegas with top entertainment figures, including choreographer Kenny Ortega and Simon Fuller, the English producer who managed the Spice Girls.

There has been speculation that Steve Wynn is considering hiring Jackson to open Encore, the 2,054-room, $1.7 billion sister tower to Wynn Las Vegas. It opens in late 2008.

"At this time there is no deal," a Wynn rep said.
