TASTE OF THE TOWN:
Canada Dry Diet Soda on the way
Good news for Bob Bagne and other readers who have searched in vain for Canada Dry Diet Soda: My crystal ball tells me it will be available in 12-packs of 12-ounce cans in early April.
Well, OK, it wasn't a crystal ball. The news actually comes courtesy of David Loker, manager of customer development for the West Business Unit of Coca-Cola Enterprises, who e-mailed in response to Bagne's query. "It will be available everywhere you find regular Canada Dry," he said.

In the meantime, Rob Lindley e-mailed to suggest the private label of diet ginger ale at Vons, which he said is available only in 2-liter bottles.
Also, "Our solution is to make a run to Bullhead City periodically for Canada Dry Diet Ginger Ale" in cans or 2-liter bottles produced in Tucson, he added. "Then we have to smuggle it back across the state line."
