NORM: Jealous rocker gets some incorrect info

A jealous Kid Rock blew a fuse early Sunday and went knocking on the wrong door.

I hear the estranged husband of Pamela Anderson showed up at the Hard Rock Hotel at 6 a.m. on Sunday and began violently pounding on a door.

Anderson's ex-husband, Tommy Lee, was performing at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel on New Year's Eve with his new band, Rock Star: Supernova.

When the damaged door opened, Kid Rock found himself facing a total stranger.

The rocker apologized, according to my spy, signed an autograph for the startled person and went on his way.

THE SCENE AND HEARD

Pure Nightclub was buzzing with late word that Spears was planning to make a New Year's Eve appearance with the Las Vegas Pussycat Dolls, after her midnight countdown hosting duties. One of the pink-and-black outfits was custom-made for her. She arrived late Saturday afternoon aboard a tour bus, with her two children and other family members, after driving in from Phoenix. She was spotted with Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart on Friday at Scottsdale, Ariz., hot spot Jackrabbit Lounge, according to several Internet reports. ...

Happy birthday greetings to: Bobby Darin's pal and Pamplemousse restaurant owner George LaForge, who turns 70 today. Coca-Cola exec Doug Watson and Light Group's Marklen Kennedy have a soiree planned at Jet (Mirage) tonight. LaForge tells me a Darin fan club has scheduled its annual convention in Las Vegas in May and plans to mark Darin's 71st birthday at the Pamplemousse. Darin recommended the name, French for grapefruit, to LaForge, who befriended Darin when he was one of Las Vegas' youngest solo headliners.
