PBA TOUR -- The Professional Bowlers Association Tour returns to Southern Nevada for the Motel 6 Classic, Jan. 24 to 28 at the Strike Zone at Sunset Station.

It will mark the first time since 2003 that the world's top bowlers compete in the area. The tour's last event in Las Vegas was at the former Castaways.

The Jan. 28 finals will be televised live on ESPN.

The PBA Tour is currently in Fountain Valley, Calif., for the Dick Weber Open at Fountain Bowl, which started Wednesday. The stepladder finals will be televised live on ESPN at 10 a.m. Sunday.

• HOT PRO -- Sean Rash, 24, takes a winning streak into this week's tournament. The Wichita, Kan., native won Sunday in the Earl Anthony Classic in Medford, Ore.

• MEET THE STARS -- Fans have the chance to meet some of the top bowlers when the PBA Tour is in town next week. K&K Bowling Services has scheduled appearances at its Flamingo and Jones location. Jason Couch, Tony Reyes, Robert Smith, Randy Petersen, Chris Barnes, Wes Malott and Parker Bohn are scheduled to make appearances.

• TOURNAMENTS -- The Strike Zone will host the Boot Hill-Las Vegas Tournament from Feb. 6 to 9, with the winner earning $20,000.
