Style and the City" was the name of a luncheon with Candace Bushnell, best-selling author of "Sex and the City," "Four Blondes," "Trading Up" and "Lipstick Jungle."
Bushnell was the featured speaker at the Women's Philanthropy annual United Luncheon of the United Jewish Federation of Las Vegas Jan. 18 at Wynn Las Vegas.

The author put the New York singles scene into print as The New York Observer's resident "Sex and the City" columnist, later turning the column into a book, spawning the HBO hit series.
Bushnell offered amusing personal accounts of living in New York City as a single. She noted that she has been happily married for five years to a dancer with the New York Ballet Company.
A silent auction for 48 packages attracted Lynn Rosencrantz, Flora Mason, Tracy Atamian, Paige Fleming, Lynn Perlman, Phyllis Schwartz, Judy Moran, Joyce Straus, Ruth Goldfarb, Camile Ruvo and Shirley Chaplin.
The luncheon featured tomato soup and salad, followed by an entree of Atlantic cod and pumpkin lasagnette, with unbaked Alaska for dessert.
Flower arrangements of orange rosebuds with purple vanda orchids and green anthurium decorated the tables.
Co-chairing the luncheon were Leora Blau and Lisa Henry. Speakers were Heidi Sarno Straus, Women's Philanthropy chairman, and Cari Marshall.
During lunch, the fashion show featured couture by the Wynn Esplanade Shops.
Models Erin BenDavid, Susan Byerley, Belinda Mack Donner, Heather DuBoef, Jason Feinberg, Natasha Fridman, Mayor Oscar Goodman, Cynthia Gordon, Janie Greenspun Gale, Dawn Mack, Susan Molasky, Paul Murad, Maureen Peckman, Paul Schiffman, Winnie Schulman, Shelley Shalev, Bridget Shuster and Rachel Ventura strutted the lengthy runway, showing off the fashions coordinated by Terri Monsour, senior vice president of Wynn's retail.
Also seen among the 438 guests were Janice Wilson, Linda Lane, Judy Mack, Helen Mack, Geri Rumbolz, Nancy Golden, Wendy Samelman, Elaine Steinberg, Lillian Kronberg and Judy Applebaum.
Wine tasting: Southern Nevada Public Television hosted its 18th annual Splendor in the Glass, benefiting Vegas PBS, on Saturday at the Las Vegas Hilton Center.
The popular event attracted hundreds of guests out to sample products from the 65 wineries and a few breweries represented from across the United States, South America and South Africa.
Greeting guests were Charlotte Hill, chairman of the Southern Nevada Public Television Community Council, and Rob McCoy, president of the Southern Nevada Public Television Board. They were joined by council members Peggy Smith, Irene Vogel, Linda McCoy, Sidra Kain, Ann Michael and Sarah K. Walker, as well as board members A. James Dionizio, Rodney Harbraugh and Reggie Burton.
Music was by the Manny Kellough Trio with Ronnie Rose, Frank Fabio and Randy Thomas.
Silent and live auctions offered rare vints and large bottles of popular wines.
Sighted among the guests were Julie Urrunaga and Robert Gutierrez, Denyce Tuller, Rebecca Howell, Jay Kornmayer, May Mushkin, Don Pitchford, Terri and Jim Dionizio, Chris Steeley and Bonnie Alvarez.
Lake Mead Yacht Club: Members of the Lake Mead Yacht Club journeyed to San Diego Saturday to attend their annual Installation banquet at "The Dana" on Mission Bay.
Members from Las Vegas installed as officers to the board of trustees included Gary Weinberg, commodore; Steve Jones, vice commodore; Randy Jordan, rear commodore; Stu Forsberg, captain of the fleet; Duane Billy, treasurer; and Mel Garraway, secretary.
Trustees installed included Wayne Jeu, Theresa Welch, Cindy McClure, Ralph Brogan, George Pizzo, Patrick McGouch and Tom Scherer.
