His 25-year medical career in Nevada included serving as chairman of Sunrise Hospital's Obstetrics Department and president of the Clark County OB-GYN Society. In that time, Eisenman delivered thousands of babies.
"He was a very caring and dedicated physician who loved delivering babies,'' said Dr. Frank DeLee, a close friend and colleague. "He loved his family and his friends and two dogs -- Yenta and Kesef. He just sat in front of the television with them.''
DeLee, who also attended medical school with Eisenman in Mexico, said the two came to Nevada to practice medicine in 1981.
Eisenman served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of Chabad Synagogue in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; daughter, Abra Eisenman of Las Vegas; sons, Thomas of Las Vegas and Barry of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and sister, Sugar Firtel of Bay Harbor Islands, Fla.
Services will be held today at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., and on Wednesday at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapel in Miami.
He is to be buried at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Miami.
The family requests donations be made to Chabad of Southern Nevada or Congregation Beth El in Henderson.
