NORM: Blasts from past to kick off club

Polly Esther's, the new nightclub at the Stratosphere, has a retro spectacular planned for its March 15-16 opening weekend.

The March 15 opening will feature an appearance by Leif Garrett and performances by the 1970s band Bay City Rollers and 1980s cover band Spandex.

For the March 16 opening, the lineup will include 1980s pop star Tiffany, a John Travolta impersonator, "Partridge Family" icon Danny Bonaduce, David Boreanaz from Fox's hit show "Bones," former GUESS girl and Victoria's Secret model Larissa Bond and Barry Williams from "The Brady Bunch."

The 1980s band Flock of Seagulls will perform March 23, with Mario Lopez acting as emcee.

THE SCENE AND HEARD

NASCAR stars Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be attending the unveiling of their Madame Tussauds wax figures on Friday. The 2 p.m. ceremony will be held during the grand opening of the Neon Garage at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. ...

That tall pallbearer at Anna Nicole Smith's funeral with blond hair and a beard was Las Vegan Cory Ardizzone, a longtime security guard. He's also a regular with Jenna Jameson's security detail, and his name turned up on Paris Hilton's phone list a couple of years ago when her cell phone went missing. ...

Elizabeth Hurley was given away by close friend Elton John at the Saturday blessing of her marriage to Indian businessman Arun Nayar. The Caesars Palace headliner also serenaded the newlyweds with "Your Song." He reportedly became a father figure to Hurley, the main face of Estee Lauder for more than a decade, after her father died in 1996. ...

McMullan's Irish Pub, 4650 W. Tropicana Ave., will host the inaugural Las Vegas fundraiser for the St. Baldrick's Foundation on Saturday. From 4 p.m. to midnight, participants will have their heads shaved to show their solidarity with children with cancer. Pub owners Brian and Lynn McMullan are heading the local campaign, one of 300 nationwide events tied in with the St. Patrick's Day celebration. Numerous local organizations, including several sports teams, are sending representatives to get their Britney buzz cuts. ...

At Gordie Brown's show Sunday night at The Venetian: Former heavyweight boxing champion "Smokin' Joe" Frazier, accompanied by son Marvis. ... Rocker Tommy Lee, having dinner Sunday with Palms owner George Maloof and friends at Tao, in The Venetian. During a smoke break in the bar, Lee had shots with club goers. Saturday: Girl group Danity Kane, dancing on the Tao nightclub catwalk when DJ Five played their song, "Show Stopper." ... In the audience at Bob Seger's concert Saturday in MGM Grand Garden: comedian David Spade and Las Vegas magician Steve Dacri, who was catching Seger for the 15th time, going back to the 1970s, when Dacri would drive from Boston to Detroit for a performance. "Only thing missing was the crowd surfing he did back in the day," Dacri said. ... Sammy Hagar, chowing down Monday at Rao's in Caesars Palace with pals before his private appearance at the Palms. ... Actress Shannon Elizabeth and Beacher's Madhouse creator Jeff Beacher, dining Monday at Spago in the Forum Shops at Caesars. ... Actor Joe Piscopo, talk-show host Carson Daly, Sacramento Kings owner Gavin Maloof and the cast of the reality show "Paradise City," partying Sunday at Body English, in the Hard Rock Hotel.
