The Community College of Southern Nevada baseball team posted two shutouts to sweep a doubleheader with Salt Lake Community College, 3-0 and 10-0, Saturday at Morse Stadium.
In the opener, Drew Leary (4-0) threw a two-hit complete game, walking one and striking out seven. Easton Gust went 2-for-3 for the seventh-ranked Coyotes (24-7, 14-2 Scenic West Athletic Conference).

CCSN scored five first-inning runs in the second game, which ended in the sixth inning on the mercy rule.
Bryce Massanari went 2-for-4 with a two-run double, and Kyle Bostick and David Fry each went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
CCSN SOFTBALL -- At Salt Lake City, the CCSN softball team (16-6, 12-4 Scenic West) split a doubleheader against Salt Lake Community College, losing 7-6 and winning 5-4.
In the win, Ashley Adams had a two-run single in the top of the sixth for the game-winning hit.
UNLV MEN'S TENNIS -- The Rebels beat No. 69 Mississippi State 4-3 at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
The Bulldogs (3-9) took two of three matches to win the doubles point, but UNLV (5-9) took four of six singles matches.
David Campbell (No. 3), Wesley Burrows (No. 4), Slavko Bijelica (No. 5) and Luca Barlocchi (No. 6) won for the Rebels.
Also, Elliot Wronski, who upset third-ranked Todd Paul of Wake Forest 6-1, 7-5 on Monday, was named Mountain West Conference Player of the Week for the second time in a month.
UNLV SOFTBALL -- At Tampa, Fla., the Rebels beat Long Island 5-4 in eight innings, then routed Rhode Island 10-0 in five innings at the Speedline Invitational.
Against Long Island, UNLV (23-12) scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to tie the score at 3, with Jaci Hull homering and Sandy Nakamura hitting an RBI single.
The Blackbirds scored once in the top of the eighth, but Brittany Freight had an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth, then scored the winning run on a fielding error off the bat of Kelli Fangonilo.
Against Rhode Island, Rosa Ordaz had two solo home runs, and Laura Briones had a pinch-hit grand slam.
Christie Robinson and Casey Thompson combined on the one-hit shutout.
UNLV TRACK AND FIELD -- Charlotte Browning won the 800-meter run to lead the Rebels in the UNLV Duel Meet at Myron Partridge Stadium and Sheila Tarr-Smith Field.
Browning finished in 2 minutes, 13.30 seconds in the meet, which also featured athletes from Texas, Southern California and Cal State Dominguez Hills.
Meia Tezeno won the javelin at 94 feet. Aja Evans was second in the shot put and fifth in the 200, and Olivia Raya was second in the discus.
UNLV BASEBALL -- The Rebels (10-17, 1-2 Mountain West Conference) lost to Brigham Young (13-7, 2-1) 5-3 at Wilson Stadium.
Ryan Kowalski was 2-for-3 with a run for UNLV.
UNLV FOOTBALL -- Coach Mike Sanford hired Dennis Therrell as linebackers coach.
Therrell, a veteran of more than 25 years of coaching, has been defensive coordinator for Army, Murray State and Illinois State. He spent 2006 as a volunteer coach at Auburn.
