From sports-talk shows, morning shows to Sports Center, the UNLV Reb-vival is one hot topic.

Everyone's got their own take.

The morning show at KOMP-FM, 92.3 unveiled the latest in its long line of parodies Wednesday.

A spoof of Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell," this one is titled "Rebels Yell," with deejay "Sweet" Al Miller delivering the hard-charging lyrics.

KVVU-TV, Channel 5 on Tuesday debuted a Rebel video titled "Rebelicious," a collaboration between Fox 5 and KLUC-FM, 98.5.

Miller, who teams up with Craig Williams and Andy Kaye, produced "Rebels Yell" in his home studio over the weekend, before adding some sound bites at KOMP.

A lead singer, songwriter and guitar player for a rock group called 333, Miller joined Williams and Kaye to produce the "Bin Laden Bomb Song" in 2001. When the war broke out in Iraq in 2003, Williams and producer Doug (no last name preferred) put together the "Bomb Saddam" parody.

"If the guys win (the Midwest Regionals in St. Louis), we'll change it up for the Final Four," said Miller, who had a promising audition for this summer's "America's Got Talent" program on NBC. He's the voice behind many local jingles.

"Rebels Yell" can be heard at KOMP's Web site, komp.com.

KVVU is selling Rebelicious T-shirts at the station at 25 TV 5 Drive in Henderson.

The national media have caught Rebel fever as well.

UNLV has been dubbed the "Sin-derella" team in college basketball's Sweet 16.

And during the Dan Patrick Show on ESPN Radio on Wednesday, Sports Illustrated columnist Rick Reilly gave UNLV the nod for best uniforms among the remaining schools.

Why? Patrick asked him.

Because of the so-Vegas sparkle on the jersey numbers, Reilly said.

But, he added, why not go all the way?

"How about Chippendale bow ties?"
