Chase Leavitt went 4-for-7 on the day, but not much went CCSN's way all weekend. Through the four games, the Coyotes were outscored 15-3 while committing 11 errors and collecting just one earned run.

• CCSN SOFTBALL -- The No. 20 Coyotes (18-8, 14-6) posted a pair of wins, 4-0 and 14-4, over Northern Idaho College (22-11, 14-6) at the Russell Road Recreation Complex.

CCSN had lost both games of a doubleheader on Friday. The split series ties the teams for first place in the Scenic West.

In the opener, it was all pitching as Kelly Griego threw a two-hit complete game, walking one and striking out 11.

The second game went five innings due to the mercy rule. CCSN scored nine runs in the bottom of the fifth.

Michelle Ralston went 3-for-3 with three doubles and four RBIs, and Maritza Espinoza, Christine Terrazas and Krista Brown each had two hits.

• UNLV WOMEN'S TENNIS -- The Rebels, ranked 54th, shut out Colorado State 7-0 at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

UNLV (13-3) took all three doubles matches, with the 35th-ranked duo of Elena Gantcheva and Kristina Nedeltcheva moving to 14-1 on the season with an 8-4 win over Emily Kirchen and Hilary Tyler.

Gantcheva then beat Kirchen 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, setting off a stretch in which UNLV did not drop a set.

• UNLV SOFTBALL -- The Rebels (24-14) split two games in the Pacific Mini Tournament in Stockton, Calif., losing to Pacific 7-3 and beating Sacramento State, 3-0.

In the win, Jaci Hull went 4-for-4 with three doubles, two runs and an RBI, and Stephanie Bregante (7-5) held the Hornets scoreless.

Against Pacific, UNLV took a 3-0 lead on a Kendall Fearn home run in the fourth inning, but the Tigers scored five runs in the sixth inning, including back-to-back home runs.

• UNLV BASEBALL -- The Rebels (10-19) lost to No. 21 San Diego 5-4 at Wilson Stadium.

The Toreros scored a run in the second inning and three more in the third to take a 4-0 lead, and UNLV couldn't quite come all the way back.

Calvin Beamon was 2-for-5 with two runs scored for the Rebels.
