Noa's two-run double caps rally for Bulldogs

Juelaine Noa's two-run double in the bottom of the fifth inning Monday helped Centennial's softball team come from behind and defeat visiting Sierra Vista, 8-5.

The Bulldogs trailed 5-2 entering the at-bat, but Noa's double capped a four-run inning.

Katie Lee was 3-for-3 with a double and three runs scored, and Alissa Rampa was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for Centennial. Sierra Vista's Tayler Aleman went 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs.

Valley 6, Arbor View 0 -- At Valley, Lorena Villamar pitched a six-hitter with 10 strikeouts to lead the Vikings past the Aggies.

Villamar also had a double, a triple and three RBIs, and Cristina Medina added three hits and a run scored for Valley.

Foothill 6, West Linn (Ore.) 2 -- At Foothill, Megan Martinez was 2-for-3 with two RBIs to lead the Falcons over the Lions.

Mountain View 22-26, Indian Springs 0-4 -- At Indian Springs, Valencia Casey threw a no-hitter in the first game and drove in seven runs in the second as the Saints swept a doubleheader.

Casey struck out 11 in the five-inning no hitter.

BASEBALL

Sierra Vista 9, Mazama (Ore.) 4 -- At Sierra Vista, Lance Ray went 4-for-4 with a triple and a double as the Lions defeated the Vikings.

Chad Claus was 2-for-3 with a three-run homer for Sierra Vista.

Arbor View 10, Valley 0 -- At Valley, Logan Marchant threw a five-hitter, striking out four and walking one, as the Aggies beat the Vikings in five innings.

Michael Blazek was 2-for-3 with a home run, and Robbie Garvey was 2-for-4 with three RBIs for Arbor View.

Horizon (Ariz.) 6, Bishop Gorman 0 -- At Scottsdale, Ariz., Tim Alderson pitched a three-hitter with 13 strikeouts and also homered to lead Horizon past the Gaels in the Cleats National Invitational.

Faith Lutheran 14, Falcon (Colo.) 4 -- At Faith Lutheran, Dylan Young was 3-for-3 with a triple, four RBIs and three runs scored to lead the Crusaders to the five-inning win.
